So 2272 citizens didn’t exercised their right to vote. To compare, in the USA, the average falls between 55 and 60%. Campaigning and extensive efforts to mobilize citizens to participate in elections will be done prior to the elections. •Find a way to Incentivize more humans citizens to vote. Maybe through voter education campaigns, outreach efforts through NEAR.SOCIAL or any messaging widget, and other initiatives to encourage voter turnout. •Set a limit of candidates to run, maybe according to their region, team, position or any affiliation idk (especially if we consider the number of eligible candidates to increase with increasing adoption) •Anonymous voting, as suggested by @near_intern , can play a big factor. Citizens can express themselves without reservation, ultimately leading to greater participation. ⋈ As you know, I see blockchains as digital nations, implying that I anticipate various measures to parallel those IRL. I envision a future where diverse coalitions form among individuals and teams to elect a candidate, preventing vote dilution and to avoid the unfortunate situation of being significantly underrepresented, with no team member having a seat at the table. Imho the most ‘’successful partis’’ will be the ones who will convert the most of the 73% eligible human/citizens into voters. Teams to invest some $NEAR to incentivize more people to vote especially by including the newer members into their community by engaging them more and make sure they understand #NEAR ’s ecosystem will be the V2 winners. In this evolving ecosystem, even the OGs will need to adapt.
