This week I participated in LibertyDAO's mapathon where i used (Map library) [https://www.libertydao.online/hack.near/widget/Map.library] and some data from NYC's open data to build an application where users can locate Farmer's markets in their neighborhood. I think this data is important is important for local residents as it provides information on more food options. Where residents are able to talk to the members of the entities growing the food. In addition, growers will receive more potential customers. The map library is very interesting and will continue to build upon this in the future.
