## 🎉 NEAR YEAR RESOLUTIONS: 2024 **🌟 REFLECTIONS ON THE PAST YEAR:** - 2023 was a year of figuring things out; I started the year in the middle of an ambitious project facing a technical challenge that I didn't know how to solve -- then NEAR, Near Social, and the VM filled that gap and opened a world of possibilities. It's been a lot of learning new concepts, exploring ideas, building prototypes, and working with others. I'll comment on this post with all the stuff I've had the pleasure to collaborate on, but it was a lot -- and we started Liberty DAO and Build DAO, too. I also did some workshops, prepared and presented pitches for everything, and helped organize and participated in some very successful hackathons. Looking back, I feel proud and accomplished. - All the while, it was a tough year mentally and financially; I did almost everything for free and had some months when I didn't make rent. I would get frustrated, spread thin, feel trapped, and I would spin my wheels in situations not knowing how to get out of them. It gave me a raw perspective of the NEAR ecosystem and the state of our economy as a whole -- I haven't been alone in this struggle, and for that I am grateful, but this is a reality for too many more. I'm one of the lucky ones. I've learned to persevere and adapt, and I will carry these insights into the new year as we find solutions to make sure passionate builders and creatives feel supported and hopeful. #builddao #creativesdao #everything - None of this was done alone. Community is powerful, especially when there is a common vision. And it is incredible how common a vision can be. **🎯 NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS:** - Be more intentional with "deep work" rather than multi-tasking / jumping around so much. Over working leads to burn out, and over promising weakens relationships. I need to dedicate time for myself and turn off the distractions. - I want to deliver more libraries and documentation, package everything I've worked on in ways that other people can easily use and understand. While proof of concepts are fun, they don't translate well to being useful for projects. Without reflection and preparing for the next use, it can feel a lot like starting over. Plan, execute, update, and reflect -- I want to get into the habit of a cycle; sharing progress, giving opportunity for others to collaborate, and delivering something that makes it easier the next time around. Slow and steady. Don't feel scared or embarrassed to share what I'm working on, even if it is incomplete. - Revisit the reasons why I am here in the first place; working on a lot of different projects has been great and helpful in exploring the possibilities, but in turn, [everything.dev](https://everything.dev) has been neglected and I've strayed from the original vision. Things can be a lot more fun this way - Keep it easy and light hearted, no need to stress. **📊 MEASURING SUCCESS:** - I will track this with my activity on the social contract -- writing updates and posts all on the platform.
