@jilt.near [Posted on DevHub](https://near.social/#/devgovgigs.near/widget/Post?id=782) ## Idea: Update the blender add-on for mass minting 3D utility NFTs Thanks to the @mintbase.near and the near python API I was able to develop a python add-on to a popular open source 3D editor, https://blender.org https://github.com/jilt/earendill The addon was built on the mintbase contract standard and the Varda http API to check for ownership on NFTs and uploading the 3D file as a secret content, allowing creators to sell 3D projects as utilities for their rendering. While the add-on works it may be improved at the level of user experience and to adhere to the whole NEP stardard, allowing people to mint on contracts deployed outside of mintbase (on BOS for example). The blender community counts two millions of downloads each month for the software and improving the UX would allow me to put the add-on on the blendermarket and sustain its updates by myself in the future. https://www.blendermarket.com/ There are addons in that marketplace that earn a net 80.000 to 145.000$ each year, so for me it would be nice to try and publish a good addon, covering the whole NEAR nft standard and adding metadata and multiple rendering to the functionalities of the addon, along with a single easy button for installing. It would help me sustain future updates for the add-on. I was lucky enough to meet a python dev that would help me with the install button and has named his price already, so this is the requested funding: 1) single install button 1000$ 2) multiple renders and metadata for PFP contracts 2000$ 3) covering NEP standard updates on minting calls on all near contracts for one year 3000$ Total 6000$ Request is for @neardevgov.near I can share the data for the amount of users on the blendermarket and blender 3D editor, let's just say that the blender game engine runs on the very same python UI so i would include gaming into the functionalities of this add-on along with PFP NFT projects obviously :) Link to install the working addon are in the github repo!
