@fabel.near [Posted on DevHub](/devgovgigs.near/widget/Post?id=3058) ## Solution: DevHub Creative Assets funding request by Fabel Media ###### Requested amount: 1600 USDC ###### Requested sponsor: @neardevdao.near **Overview** Fabel Media is a creative studio specializing in design, editing and animation for tech startups and brands. We are delighted to produce and deliver YouTube intros for Dev Hub's community and work group calls. **Scope of Work** - 12 YouTube intros in 16:9 aspect ratio. - 12 intros in 9:16 aspect ratio. - For use on Dev Hub's community and work group calls on Near Protocol's YouTube. - Includes research, design and animation. **Summary of Work** 1. Worked on a test for the Near Devhub YouTube Intro using assets created for the explainer video. It was a quick mockup done to get a feel for the direction from the DevHub team. It took half a day’s work. The DevHub team liked it, but found it to be too flashy for the type of branding they were going for. It gave them something to think about and get back to us with a more solid direction. 2. Next, Sasha came up with the design direction for the intro using similar elements from the brand identity. We did two variations on an initial animation to get a feel for what was working and what wasn’t. The team came back to us with a few suggestions which we went to work on. 3. The team were planning to release a video soon on their YouTube, and so came to us with a specific requirement: To create the intro for “Zero Knowledge”. Sasha sent us the designs, they had been updated slightly from the initial designs. We tried to solve some of the issues the team had previously - it had to do with the final transition. We presented two more options, but the final transition wasn’t yet working. But we were getting closer, the constraints of the simple design and animation expectation was an interesting challenge. 4. The next iteration, we took a new approach. Changing the way we approached the transition, as we now had a better understanding of the team’s expectations and the direction they were coming from. We presented the new option with music to go along with it. The team loved it and we were able to publish the latest YT video with the new intro in place. 5. The next step was to give the animation a final polish, before setting it up for all the variations in the title. We created 12 different videos in the 16:9 format based on the designs provided by Sasha. The video exports were handed over to the team on a Google Drive folder. 6. Next, Sasha created the design for the 9:16 version. We explored a few variations to adapt the intro animation to the vertical format and finally honed in on a version we liked. We shared a rough version to the team, and they loved it. 7. We proceeded to polish the animation and set up the files to easily create further variations in both 16:9 and 9:16 formats. We then created the 12 different videos based on requirement, exported them and shared them with the team through google drive. We also handed off the After Effects file to Sasha, so that the team can make further changes and exports as per their requirements. **Final Deliverables** - Final YouTube intro exports for 12 group and community calls with music. - Export video in both 16:9 and 9:16 formats. - Packaged After Effects file for ease of use for the DevHub team in case of future changes. - Complete quality control checks to ensure technical specifications are met.
